My Little Boat
Today I'm a bit contemplative. I had a good talk with Jesus today, Im pretty sure we got some things ironed out, and that feels good. I have been reeling inside over so much, and realized it was sinking my ship. Have you ever been on a sinking ship? I hope not, but I feel like I've gotten a taste of that feeling, and I have to say it's scary! But, you know what's so great? The feeling when you look down and realize you've had your life vest on all the time!! ha You can forget that, in the midst of chaos, storms and crisis. He is our life vest! The only one to lift us up in the face of the waves. I also came to realize; over my third cup of Earl Grey, that these difficult places are the places of breaking. We have so much loot aboard our little boats and the Lord knows we won't steer straight until he causes our vessels to over turn the cargo. What does your cargo look like? Mine looks a lot like fear, pride, SELF!! Yah, there's a lot of ME in my cargo. I want nothing but Him on board, then my little boat will make it safely to harbor.

Great visual Sabrina. I totally can relate to what you are saying. I think my boat got flipped a number of times this year. Hi by the way. I know we've met more than once but I don't think we've ever had the chance to really TALK. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better via blog. I'll think of us as pen pals instead of blog buddies because pen pal sounds better. And I stare in my own movie too by the way. I've got a great soundtrack too! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Sabrina! Fun to be on board. HaHa! Beautiful picture and quite true. Sadly we are willing to capsize our little 'life boats' at times to save our precious booty. We do have a full proof life vest on and I love to see Jesus that way! How safe we truly are...with our 'Captain of Salvation'.
